I'll dominate 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants met personally to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former twice world boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's largest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually happening.
